Flooding triggered by Hurricane Melissa has killed 25 people in Haiti and has left parts of Cuba underwater after the storm hit the island on Wednesday. Melissa, one of the strongest Atlantic hurricanes on record, previously hit Jamaica with unprecedented 185mph winds on Tuesday. The official death toll from Hurricane Melissa has continued to rise, with more than 30 people from Jamaica, Haiti and the Dominican Republic now known to have been killed. Cuba, which also suffered widespread devastation, is yet to say how many people died. The storm has been downgraded from category five to category two and is expected to hit Bermuda later.
