Lassen County (/ ˈ l æ s ə n / ⓘ LASS-ən) is a county located in the northeastern portion of the U.S. state of California. As of the 2020 census, the population was 32,730. [4] The county seat and only incorporated city is Susanville. [5] Lassen County comprises the Susanville, California, micropolitan statistical area.

The Lassen County Fairgrounds is located in Susanville, California which lies at the head of the Honey Lake Valley with an altitude of 4,200 feet. The beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountain Range surrounds the valley and is the eastern gateway to Lassen Volcanic National Park and Forest.
