About Us - Lake Piru
Lake Piru holds approximately 82,000 acre-feet of winter run-off from the Piru Creek Watershed. Later in the year, UWCD makes conservation releases of the stored water into Lower Piru Creek, where it flows into the Santa Clara River, and is used to recharge groundwater basins.

Personal Watercraft Rules for Lake Piru • Speed Limit 35 mph. • Must observe all 5 mph zones; including the Marina and the Narrows at the north end of the reservoir. • Must Operate in a Counterclockwise rotation. • Not allowed in swim beaches. • Not allowed to be operated between sunset and sunrise.
