Dallas Wings star rookie guard Paige Bueckers missed Friday night's home game against the New York Liberty due to a back injury. Bueckers injured her back during the third quarter of Tuesday's game against the Liberty in the first of a home-and-home set.

Dallas Wings rookie Paige Bueckers has been ruled out of a rematch with the New York Liberty due to a back injury that required treatment during the first meeting three days earlier. Bueckers won't play Friday night in Texas after being listed as questionable the day before the game.

Bueckers is playing well in her rookie season. She is unquestionably the front-runner for the WNBA Rookie of the Year Award. The 23-year-old is averaging 18.6 points, 5.4 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.8 steals per outing. She is also shooting 45.7 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from beyond the arc.
