PITTSBURGH - Making the trek up north for a marquee ACC showdown at Pitt, the Louisville men's basketball program earned their biggest win of the Pat Kelsey era thus far, leaving the Petersen Events Center with an 82-78 victory on Saturday.

The loss snapped Pitt's 15-game home win streak at Petersen Events Center that included eight wins over ACC opponents.

On an afternoon where it looked a dozen times over like it just might not be the Cards’ day, Louisville found a way to extend its winning streak to six with a thrilling 82-78 road win over Pitt. The Cards got a flurry of late buckets from Reyne Smith and a last second teardrop from Chucky Hepburn to pull off the upset and hand the Panthers their first home loss of the season.
