Jannik Sinner dismantled seven-time winner Novak Djokovic to set up a tantalising Wimbledon final against defending champion Carlos Alcaraz. Shortly after Alcaraz’s four-set victory over Taylor Fritz in the first men’s semi-final, Sinner produced arguably the performance of the tournament to join the Spaniard in Sunday’s final.

They have faced each other nine times overall, with Djokovic claiming four victories and Sinner winning the other five. The young Italian has also won each of their last four meetings, a run which dates back to 2023. Federer is backing Djokovic to buck the trend at the next time of asking, though.
