Ghislaine Maxwell will enjoy a lot more freedom at her new federal prison camp, but she won’t be among the prisoners who get to raise a puppy.

Maxwell was moved to Federal Prison Camp Bryan, a minimum-security prison for women, located roughly 6 miles from Texas A&M University in College Station in Bryan, Texas.

So on Friday, Sen. Jack Reed (D-R.I.) demanded a formal explanation for the move from the director of the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Given the highly unusual nature of the transfer, it would have had to be personally approved by a high-level BOP staffer.
