An active shooter was reported at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville campus Monday, according to a university alert system, but local police said there is no evidence that a shooting occurred.

The University of Arkansas’ campus turned into chaos after many students were alerted about a possible active shooter near Mullins Library. Saxon Pound, a freshman at the university, said everyone around her began to panic when they got the alert.
