Andy Byron, the startup executive at the center of an extraordinary social media furor, has resigned as CEO of data operations startup Astronomer.

When Chris Martin joked that two camera-shirking Coldplay concertgoers might be having an affair, he had no idea his shoutout would put now-former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron on the hot seat.

Pete DeJoy took over following former CEO Andy Byron’s resignation after he was captured on a “kiss cam” with a fellow Astronomer employee, who is not his wife, at a Coldplay concert.
