India's aviation safety watchdog said on Tuesday surveillance conducted on Air India's Boeing 787 fleet did not reveal any major safety concerns, days after one of its jets crashed, killing at least 271 people.

Flights to Delhi, Toronto, and Bali disrupted due to maintenance issues, volcanic activity, and DGCA's enhanced scrutiny of Boeing 787 fleet.

Last year, the F.A.A. said it was also investigating claims by a Boeing engineer that parts of the fuselage, or body, of the Dreamliner were improperly fastened together, which the whistle-blower said could cause premature damage to the plane over years of use.
