經各方努力後，水務署會立即動工，並日以繼夜施工，預計7月初完成臨時喉管。屆時該段瀝青塗層鋼管將永久停用。水務署會爭取於今年年底前以藏於地底的永久喉管替代該段外露的臨時喉管。
