Winter Weather Advisory issued with freezing rain expected overnight
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for all of the region starting Wednesday night through Thursday morning. Freezing rain is expected across the region with some accumulation of ice expected overnight until temperatures rise above freezing on Thursday morning.
The storm is set to bring dangerous conditions, with up to 34 inches of snowfall and wind gusts reaching 60 mph.
A winter storm warning is in effect Monday through Wednesday, with travel on I-80 severely impacted, NWS says.
