The Los Angeles Rams kept quarterback Matthew Stafford from leaving in free agency, restructuring his contract. With the restructured deal, Stafford is earning $44 million in 2025 and $84 million over the next two years.

Back in February, the Rams quarterback was looking for a contract with more guaranteed money, but he couldn't come to an agreement with the team on what the new number should be. With the two sides at an impasse, the Rams decided to give Stafford permission to speak to other teams about a possible trade.

Matthew Stafford isn't going anywhere this year. But eventually, the Los Angeles Rams will need a new quarterback. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler charted the path for L.A.'s next QB move in a new article out Wednesday.
