Francisco Lindor hit a go-ahead homer to start a four-run eighth inning and the New York Mets beat the Chicago Cubs 6-2 to avoid losing their second home series this season.

Lindor thought of his wife and mom after homering on Mother’s Day, but he also took inspiration from a recent failure.
