Ben Johnson's arrival to the Chicago Bears has not only raised expectations for the team itself going into next season, it's also brought high expectations around the league. High expectations are nothing new for the Bears as they came into the 2024 season,

Johnson is a home-run hire for the Bears, but general manager Ryan Poles has plenty of work to do with this roster, between free agency and the 2025 NFL draft, to elevate this team. But it helps that Chicago has the resource to do just that with the fifth-most salary cap space and four picks in the Top 75 of the NFL draft.

Between them, Ben Johnson and Declan Doyle aren't as old as Pete Carroll. But Johnson identified the 28-year-old Doyle as the guy he wants supervising the Bears' offense.
