A semi-truck crashed into an unoccupied Arkansas State Police vehicle on I-40 in Van Buren, with no injuries reported.

The winter storm is moving offshore, but much of the eastern part of the country faces ice, bitterly cold temperatures and wind chill.

The crash happened before 9:30 a.m. Monday when an outbound MD-W train hit the small snowplow near the Bartlett station, 120 E. Railroad Ave., Metra officials said. The plow driver died at a hospital.
