New York Attorney General Letitia James' lawyer says mortgage fraud allegations against her are "improper political retribution" by Trump administration officials.

The New York Attorney General's Office hired Abbe Lowell to defend Letitia James against accusations of fraud coming from the Trump admin. Lowell previously defended Hunter Biden.

New York Attorney General Letitia James has given an update to her position amid mortgage fraud claims against her that she says are "baseless" and a result of her being on President Donald Trump 's "enemies list" because of a multi-million-dollar judgment ruling against him last year.
