DULUTH, Minn. – Strong winds and dry conditions prompted the National Weather Service in Duluth to issue a Red Flag Warning for critical fire weather from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday. The warning includes Koochiching, northern and central St. Louis, Lake, northern Cook, and Itasca counties.

A frost advisory is in place for late tonight and into Sunday morning for western, central and north-central Minnesota. Frost can kill sensitive outdoor plants and vegetation. Temperatures could possibly dip into the 30s.

If it does snow, it won't amount to very much. But the fact that it's possible represents the extreme temperature swing on the way.
