Chelsea and Crystal Palace have both won two trophies each since the end of the last domestic season and will hope to carry that momentum into the first London derby of the new Premier League campaign.

Chelsea have dominated Crystal Palace in their history, winning 33 of their 55 encounters. Palace have won just eight games against the Blues, with 14 of their matches ending in a draw. However, Palace earned two 1-1 draws against Chelsea in the Premier League last season.

While the rest of the squeak is mostly injury-free, Roméo Lavia is in the same situation as Fofana while Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku are expected to be leaving and thus have not been part of the matchday squads in preseason. (And Jackson’s suspended anyway still from the red card against Newcastle at the end of last season.)
