Main Street Sports Group, which owns FanDuel Sports Network and broadcasts dozens of teams' games, including the Tigers, Red Wings and Pistons, has signaled it needs to find a buyer or it could have to shut down in 2026.

The Detroit Tigers are among nine Major League Baseball teams cancelling their television deals with Fanduel SN, according to a media report, amid questions about the financial viability of Fanduel's parent company, Main Street Sports Network.

DETROIT -- Detroit Tigers television play-by-play man Jason Benetti is a top candidate to be the No. 1 play-by-play voice of NBC, Front Office Sports reported Monday. NBC signed a new media rights deal with Major League Baseball in November, bringing baseball back to the network on a regular basis for the first time in 26 years.

Benetti, a lifelong White Sox fan and the south side's main commentator from 2016 through 2023, left after reports of a "contentious relationship" with executive Brooks Boyer to join the division rival Tigers.
