Intriguing Easter eggs and clues in Starfleet Academ y's first-look images include Gina Yashere playing a possible hybrid of a Klingon and a Jem-Hadar. Alex Kurtzman hints in EW that "Klingon hybrid species who are several of our main characters," including possibly Paul Giamatti's mystery villain, are part of Starfleet Academy.

Starfleet Academy features a wall of notable Starfleet heroes, and there are many familiar names from legendary franchise character on it.

“ Star Trek: Starfleet Academy,” the newest series in the nearly 60-year-old franchise, warped into San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday with an introduction of its full cast and the first trailer for the show, which will debut in early 2026.
