India's civil aviation directorate has disclosed that a Learjet 45 which crashed on approach to the uncontrolled Baramati airfield had already conducted a go-around owing to a lack of visual runway contact.

SSK, was carrying two crew members and three passengers. All occupants sustained fatal injuries in the accident.

The Learjet 45XR is a high-performance, super-light business aircraft known for its speed, fuel efficiency and ability to fly at high altitudes.

According to flight tracking data from Flightradar24 and statements from the DGCA, the aircraft attempted an initial landing around 8:30 AM but failed, possibly due to poor visibility. It then made a second approach before crashing at approximately 8:45 AM near the Baramati runway threshold.
