Melania Trump accompanied her husband, U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, at the State Funeral Service for former U.S. President Jimmy Carter on Thursday. The ceremony was held at the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.

The past and incoming first lady has a history of wearing outfits at public events that grab attention or even stir controversy.

The former president and once-again-future president, who are historically something less than besties, chatted it up before the service began. (Michelle Obama was not in attendance.)
