Eurostar is telling travellers to postpone their journeys due to an on-going problem with the overhead power supply affecting services at Folkestone and St Pancras International

Eurostar has ceased all train services across Europe during the bustling holiday season due to a power supply issue, severely impacting the popular London-Paris route.

Eurostar suspended all trains between London and European cities. Earlier, it warned travelers to expect significant delays and last-minute cancellations due to an overhead power supply issue in the Channel Tunnel.

The problem for passengers is that once trains resume, there will be an almighty scramble for seats. Those with bookings for trains that are running will take priority. But travellers report problems using the Eurostar app, and say that options to rebook for later services are not available.

An issue in the Channel Tunnel led to the cancellation of almost all Eurostar services to and from London just one day before New Year's Eve.

Eurostar has announced it will restart its direct service to Disneyland Paris from today. The high-speed passenger rail service linking the UK and mainland Europe, has restarted its direct service from London to Marne-la-Vallée - where Disneyland is located.
