The list of 14 performer nominees for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s class of 2025 includes eight candidates who appear on the institution’s ballot for the first time — including some surprises that range from the previously overlooked “Twist” popularizer Chubby Checker to the Latin rock group Maná to the jam band Phish.

If California native Matt Cameron is inducted this year as a member of Soundgarden, he will become the first drummer to be inducted twice into the Rock Hall as a member of two different bands.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced the shortlist for its 2025 class of inductees on Wednesday. The shortlist includes groundbreaking Southern rap duo OutKast, Mexican rock band Maná and the recently reunited Britpop group Oasis.
