LG Electronics has announced that the Xbox app is now available on LG Smart TVs. This update means that people who own LG Smart TVs in more than 25 countries can now stream Xbox games directly to their television without the need for a separate console.

Compatible LG Smart TVs across 25+ countries can now stream Xbox games directly through the cloud with no console required, needing only webOS 24 or newer, an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, and a Bluetooth controller.

LG ’s latest update to its TV operating system (first teased back in January) brings with it the Xbox app, albeit currently in a beta version. The result means that you can now play any cloud-streamed game on your display without a console. All you’ll need is an Xbox controller and a Game Pass Ultimate subscription to enable cloud streaming.
