The chances that rain and wind from Tropical Storm Erin will hit the East Coast have risen slightly this week.

While Erin is expected to strengthen into a hurricane later this week, forecasters say the storm is increasingly likely to curve north.

Tropical Storm Erin continues to move westward across the Atlantic as it is expected to become a hurricane in a couple of days, the National Hurricane Center said.
