A New Mexico mountain village is preparing for another round of monsoon rains as it tries to dig out from historic flooding that killed a man and two children.
The victims, who were swept downstream by the unprecedented floodwaters, include a man aged between 40 and 50, a 4-year-old girl, and a 7-year-old boy. Officials said they are not releasing their identities at the moment.
It marks the second straight year that the All American races have been moved from their home at Ruidoso Downs. The race track and property suffered significant damage from the flooding event that occurred on Tuesday, July 8th which has made the current racing season impossible to continue.
