Our pool of genuinely funny music performers has never been large. Musicians get timid about humor, with reason. Audiences take earnest artists seriously and let time and taste catch up to anyone who takes their own importance with a grain of salt.

T his year’s Lollapalooza has come and gone, but Dominic Fike and Sabrina Carpenter are still a hot topic after they performed at the beloved Chicago-based music fest. Both artists took over the T-Mobile stage on Sunday, August 3, with the “3 Nights” musician scheduled right before Sabrina’s headlining set.

Carpenter is now gearing up to release her new LP, Man’s Best Friend, on Aug. 29. The project was led by Billboard Hot 100 -topping single “Manchild,” and just a couple of days prior to her Lolla set, the star unveiled the album’s full tracklist.
