The Trump administration is making moves to sell the Department of Housing and Urban Development‘s headquarters in Washington, D.C., in an effort to consolidate its ownership of prime real estate in the district.

The federal housing agency says its 1968 building faces more than $500 million in deferred maintenance. It also says current staff take up only half the space.

Even with HUD employees returning to the office full-time, the department’s Brutalist headquarters is only half-occupied.
