Femi Odukale had his best game in a Gophers uniform with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Garcia finished with a team-high 20 points as Minnesota held Iowa's explosive offense to an abysmal 3-21 (14.3%) mark from the three-point line.

Dawson Garcia scored 20 points, Femi Odukale added 18 and Minnesota held off Iowa for a 72-67 victory on Tuesday night.Minnesota led by double digits for most of the second half until Owen Freeman scored six points during Iowa's 13-3 run to cut the deficit to 70-67 with 30 seconds left.

Odukale was big for Minnesota as it built a 63-46 lead on a pair of free throws by Garcia with 6:15 remaining. A 37% foul shooter this season, he hit a pair to give the Gophers a 70-65 lead with 51 seconds remaining.

Femi Odukale added 18 points as the Gophers got a win out of Iowa City for the first time since 2015. The Gophers were up double digits most of the second half by the Hawkeyes did cut the lead to 70-67 with just 30 seconds left on the clock. But Frank Mitchell his a pair of free throws to ice the victory.
