ESPN's Field Yates explains why he had the Steelers using their first-round pick on QB Jaxson Dart in his latest 2025 NFL mock draft.

ESPN analyst Field Yates had the Detroit Lions selecting former Michigan State football standout Derrick Harmon in a mock draft published this week.

The Detroit Lions could look to add pass-rush talent to pair with Aidan Hutchinson in the 2025 NFL Draft. However, if the Lions elect to target a different position group early in the draft, it opens up the possibility of the team targeting a pass-rusher in the mid-to-late rounds.

Yates' second pick for the 49ers also makes sense in a vacuum. He has San Francisco selecting Minnesota's Aireontae Taylor with the 43rd overall pick. This would also be a bit of a reach according to Jeremiah's top 50. Taylor doesn't land in that group.

In roughly three weeks, the pre-draft hype will be over, and the commissioner will be strolling to the podium to put the Tennessee Titans on the clock with the first pick. For many, the Titans' taking quarterback Cam Ward with the top pick is a foregone conclusion.
