A winter weather advisory will remain in effect for all of north Alabama until 10 a.m. The National Weather Service in Huntsville said black ice will be possible on roads until temperatures rise above freezing. The weather service thinks that most spots in north Alabama will inch above 32 degrees between noon and 3 p.m. today.

Additional ice could accumulate on North Texas roads from drizzle this morning or from melted snow that refreezes into black ice. Drivers are urged to use caution Friday. Residents who need to travel in the next couple of days can check for updates on road conditions online using TxDOT’s map of statewide road conditions at drivetexas.
