Audi has launched the sixth-generation A6 as a wagon for Europe, but the dapper design is expected to migrate to a sedan in the near future.

The digital ink wasn't even dry on Audi's announcement that the new A6 Avant was coming on March 4 before the car leaked. At least, a vehicle that certainly appears to be the A6 Avant has appeared in online videos. It matches up with Audi's highly-concealed teaser image, and it shows a new model that looks a whole lot like the smaller Audi A5.

The new iteration, which represents the sixth generation of the nameplate, has been revealed exclusively in the wagon body style, referred to as the A6 Avant, while prototypes of an A6 sedan, A6 Allroad soft-roader, and high-performance RS 6 Avant have been spotted testing.

The refreshed two-box will adopt the Premium Platform Combustion architecture of the B10-gen A5.
