Investigators have now recovered the cockpit voice recorder from last week’s devastating Air India crash and will analyse the pilots’ final words to help determine what caused the disaster that killed more than 270 people.

The black boxes will provide cockpit conversations and data related to the plane’s engine and control settings to investigators and help them in determining the cause of the crash.

A London-bound passenger plane crashed shortly after takeoff in India on Thursday, June 12. More than 240 people were on board, Air India confirmed in a post on X.

The crash deals a fresh blow to the beleaguered U.S. plane maker, which has been mired by safety and production issues in recent years.

Riteish Deshmukh expressed deep sorrow over the tragic Ahmedabad plane crash, offering prayers and condolences to victims and families. Parineeti Chopra also shared her grief, calling the news heartbreaking.
