American Idol contestant John Foster is seeing a huge rise in popularity among fans who vote for him night after night.

Long before the bright lights of American Idol, John Foster was just a teenager helping out at his family’s meat market in the small town of Addis.

Since his audition, Foster has climbed his way to the top five in the show, performing songs like "Callin' Baton Rouge," "Jailhouse Rock" and Disney's "Almost There." On Monday night, he'll perform at 7 p.m. on ABC for a chance in the show's top 3. Those in the top 3 will head into the Sunday finale.

John Foster has earned a fan-favorite spot on American Idol season 23. He is now a contestant in the Top 10 and will appear on the live Ladies' Night episode, airing on May 4, 2025.
