Hey! Planning to visit this Monday (26th August) and high tide is 11:30am. Will we be able to walk on the beach at all during the day? Or is it completely swallowed up at high tide? The reviews seem to say you can’t access the “bride to nowhere” during this time but I’m still a bit confused - thanks in advance!

Well the car park is very close to the beach..you can easily take a slow wander. This beach tends not to get overly busy, any time of the year, so that helps when someone may be lacking in confidence on their feet or unsure of their footing in any way. The beach stretches for miles, but you can get on to it just by the car park

To whom it may concern, Is it possible to set up a marquee on a grassy patch for 2 nights with access to Belhaven Beach in June? The occasion would would be a birthday party so ideally a semi isolated spot would be desirable rather than a designated camp site. Kind regards Silas

Hey Silas, Thanks for your question. I don't believe it's possible for you to set up camp there.East Lothian Council have a thing about camping there - you can always phone or email them and see what they say. Also, due to the tides - the grassy patches are usually covered when the tide is at its' highest. I'm not sure if you are actually allowed to camp in the car park area, again contact the council for more information. Thanks :)
