Interesting spot for a dog walk. A visionary created this unique community asset from the spoils of the mining industry and it's fast becoming a dog-waler's mecca .Interesting, quirky and offers lots…Full review by Ian B

Lovely area to walk around. Plenty of well laid gravel paths. Flat walks or hills if you are feeling fit! Cafe was basic, but ok. Food was tasty but pretty pricey.Full review by naomikD3581OC

Haven’t visited for a while and it looks better than ever. Lovely place to spend a couple of hours. Only downside is cafe is really expensive.Full review by JamesFell74

Can you go in out of hours or are gates locked?

Memory tells me that the site is gated and opens and closes to correspond to the cafe/shop opening times. Basically, it closes at early tea-time.
