St Mary's has been a beacon of faith since 1386, representing the oldest Christian foundation in Nottingham and still plays an important role as the city's civic church. A traditional church with an open mind keen to explore and embrace new ways of enabling people to encounter the love of God maintaining excellence in liturgy and music. A Chris-centred theologically broad and inclusive church community. Worship and prayer are at the heart and we are blessed with a numinous space where people can connect with God finding beauty and meaning in the midst of everyday life. Our worship is uplifting profound and our music in the Anglican choral tradition raises hearts and spirits. The church is used for a wide range of church and community events
